This photo shows the fiberglass-encased wood substructure that supports the ski tow pole under the rear deck. Note the dark discoloration visible under the fiberglass shell. That is an indication that the wood inside is rotted. In fact, the hole that was drilled for the stern light allowed water to enter and rot the wood. It all had to be torn out and new wood installed and glassed in place.
